The Transportation Manager will:
· Manage all activities surrounding the day to day transportation of product
· Implement guidelines, processes and procedures to ensure safe practices
· Investigate and resolve service failures, customer concerns and complaints
· Manage adherence and compliance to all state and DOT standards
· Partner with the DOT during inspections and audits
· Negotiate and select carriers
· Perform trip planning, routing and DIT. Analyze current practices and data in order to formulate and implement continuous process improvements
· Administer the budget, order entry and invoicing surrounding transportation
· Travel to remote facilities with drivers on a quarterly basis to ensure compliance and consistency in the application of processes and procedures

Qualified Candidates Will Possess:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Five (5) years related experience required
· Knowledge of transportation practices
· An equivalent combination of education and experience
· Proven experience with state and DOT requirements and regulations
· Proven ability to provide appropriate customer service
· Ability to complete analysis and formulate recommendations for improvement
· Ability to translate laws and regulations into understandable processes and procedures that can be implemented company wide
· Demonstrated ability to function as a team player
