Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. or 3:30 p.m.-12:00 a.m.; or Monday-Thursday 4:00 p.m.-3:30 a.m. Work involves responsibility for performing semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of automobiles, light and heavy trucks, tractors, and specialized equipment and assisting in the repair of heavy, earth-moving equipment and fire apparatus equipment. Requires 3 months of experience in semi-skilled work in automotive repair; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience which may include the successful completion of an automotive repair trade school or the successful completion of a vocational technical program in automotive maintenance or completion of the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification as a master automotive/truck technician. Requires possession of a valid Missouri driver's license at the time of appointment. Must obtain a valid Missouri Class A CDL and a valid Missouri Inspector Mechanic permit prior to the end of the probationary period.
